SALT LAKE CITY -- Leaders of the Latino community held an emergency meeting Thursday. Many immigrants are afraid of what the new law, formerly Senate Bill 81, means for law enforcement and them during a routine traffic stop. Now Hispanic community leader Tony Yapias says Utah has it's first case of racial profiling thanks to enforcement of the new law. Yapias says an officer in Utah County went too far Thursday morning when he stopped a mother and son near Benjamin because they were driving with their lights on high-beam. The officer then asked about their legal status and put them in the Utah County Jail on what's called an "INS" hold.

These 2 legged morons don't know who the hell they are:
Latinos? hispanics? mexicans?
Funny how LaRaza (THE race) gets it all wrong: Mexican is not a race anymore than American is a race
The inbred, illiterate, ignorant pendejos are a Heinz 57 mix of indians and caribbean blacks, none of which ever had enough brains to fill a teaspoon.

In Reply to IlegalsarenotImmigrants: To lazy to go much farther than over the border, can pretend they are taking back Mexican land, no country as easy on illegals to the south, not interested in tough Canadian winters -- we're the one closest so we get the invasion -- we don't fight back, so they keep coming.

It's the law in this state. Dim your headlights at night when traffic approaches. Yes, you can be stopped for that and it's not law enforcement's fault to find illegal aliens, drugs, or drunk drivers when that happens. However, it would be their fault if they didn't do their job and enforce the law.

maybe if the illegals all just left it would be better

Catch them anyway we can. If they're "Illegal Immigrants" no matter what color - white, black, brown, yellow or green makes no difference. Deport their scum-a**.

Any time a Latino is arrested they call it racial profiling. We have many fine citizens who are of Mexican descendants. Hopefully they call themselves US Americans, NOT Latino or Mexican and use American English Not Spanish.

I racial profile all the time when I call in car load of beaners DRUNK and weaving. Doesn't take much of a glance to figure out they are illegals. Intransit stickers on a junker are a dead give away. Car occupied by twice as many people as there is room for is another. They do their cars like they do their houses.

too bad...if it smells like a skunk it probably is or at least has been near the skunk...if you're legal you have nothing to worry about, if you ain't you should be afraid, very afraid...if this is what it takes to make them leave I'm all for it....and we can't help it that the vast majority of illegals in this country just happen to be hispanic...that's a fact Jack...you can't get around it no matter how hard you try....don't like the heat leave the kitchen....permanently!!!
short list of traffic violations that anybody including unlicensed or stupid idiot drivers can be pulled over for...this is not racist:
failure to use a turn signal while turning unsafe lane change (without a signal) rolling stop failure to yield speeding weaving in/out of traffic crossing a double yellow line passing in a no passing zone driving without valid insurance driving without a valid plate/tag driving without a license
anybody...black, blue, pink, yellow, green, brown, or red can be pulled over if a traffic officer see's a violation. Traffic stops for drunk driving have been held up as legal...don't like the rules don't drive...besides driving is NOT a right and can be revoked by a judge!! get over it scumbags...your are NOT exempt from the laws of this nation based upon the color of your skin...don't like it head south were they seemingly let you do whatever you want....

Every driving test that I ever took in any state or any country I always remember having to answer questions about the use of high beams.
Per chance her test missed that important point?
I would be more likely to believe that she did not take the test therefore she had no license, So she was ignorant of the law.
There is a reason there is a law about high beams.....
It has the possibility to be more than a "Minor infraction" to someone driving and being blinded by some other drivers careless use of high beams.
These people have no business being on our roadways or in our country............Get her out.......NOW
Whatever it takes is what we gotta do,
They use any and all means to illegally break into our country.
From Gorilla - 03 Jul 2009 @ 07:18 am
Law enforcement officers should do their job - from stopping a driver with their lights on high-beams or detaining illegal immigrants. How could the patrolman tell if the drivers skin color at night? Good job Utah!
The 'Constitution of the United States' is in English only. All of our official documents will be in English only when the liberal pro-amnesty politicians are removed from office in 2010 and 2012.
God Bless America!

I think that the greazeball also forgot another little issue being that the beeetcchhhh no doubt had no license or insurance. Imagine also that she didn't speak English.
From Anonyma - 03 Jul 2009 @ 06:10 am
Why were they driving with their high beams? That justified a stop. They were illegal aliens and their career of crime came to an end. Just as if they'd been stopped with a bag of coke in their laps.

BS, a little inconvenience is worth a whole lot, if it means that this process will net some illegal work and entitlement thieves. If one has nothing to hide, why would one fault what this new law hopes to achieve? Heck for years after 9/11 I got stopped every time I flew...I mean every time. One time without even thinking, I actually handed my husband my carry-on while I was being gone over, with them lifting up my shirt so they could see the metal button of my jeans, and they let him go without a blink of the eye. Did I care? Of course not, I had nothing to hide. Get over it losers...the law is for the good of the masses.
