Immigrants in US are asking for money from home
FAIRVIEW, N.J. -- For five years, immigrant day laborer Leo Chamale wired money twice a month from New Jersey to his family in Guatemala. Recently, he stepped up to the money transfer window for a different purpose -- to ask that his family send some of his savings back to him. "I hadn't worked for five months, and I was two months behind on rent, so I had them send $1,500," the 21-year-old Chamale said in Spanish. "My mother said, `That's a lot of money!'" With the U.S. economy in a ditch, money transfer agencies have been reporting a decline in the wages immigrants are sending back to their home countries. Now, it appears some immigrants are going a step further -- asking their relatives to wire them money back.

I don't know if it is general knowledge but the Patriot Act enabled the Feds to view all money going back and forth across our border. Transfers need documentation. The Feds know who is transfering money out of the U. S. and they know if the transferee is legally empowered to be generating income and sending it out of the country. They are complicite in the crime and they know it.

In Reply to fredrickson: The best thing would be term limits to the senate , following the house model.

"I was forced to ask for money from home during the winter months," he said. "After that, I said to myself, `That's it — I'm heading back to my country.'" YES, YES, YES please go home! You came here and took a job from an American citizen. You sent the money you made from this job HOME to YOUR COUNTRY. Now that things are not going so well for you here in the US you want to take the money and run. RUN, RUN, RUN and don't let the border hit you in the ass as you are leaving. And please don't come back!

In Reply to cudzuqueen: It's a wonder we're not all drunk because of them. You're right, of course he didn't. When twenty of them live in a closet 2 months of rent doesn't equal 1500.00 dollars.
From cudzuqueen - 01 Jul 2009 @ 09:22 am
In Reply to conservative1: He probably didn't use it all for rent...he had to stock up on beer. They aren't happy until they're in a drunken stupor.

In Reply to Anonyma: And, if she did give him 1500.00, well rent will roll back around again.
From conservative1 - 01 Jul 2009 @ 08:55 am
In Reply to Anonyma: It's not going to be secured with what we have in office now. The best hope is to get them out and if it's timed just right replace congress then close it up after they're gone. Block them out, not block them in. What we have in office now is the worst disaster this country has ever seen. And, it's not as bad as what people may think. The economy is causing worry and fear, wich leads to anger. That's human nature and it can work.
From Anonyma - 01 Jul 2009 @ 08:46 am
If we don't secure the borders they will be back here the instant the economy improves.

I think it's interesting that they are supposed to be here to create better lives for their suffering families, but this alien work thief's mother had $1500 to wire him.

Remember the article about how there are no more fandangos in the some town because the remittance money had dried up? Yeah, they're using it for necessities -- not. puke
From conservative1 - 01 Jul 2009 @ 08:28 am
I could be wrong, but I bet they don't send him anything. Not only are they being forced to sell everything they purchased here, eventually the economy is going to force them out. After the Democrats are blamed for everything, let it force them out along with all traitor Republicans. We need a congress like back in the old days, where if they disagreed they got up and knocked the hell out of each other.

World Bank claimed immigrants sent $50,000,000,000 home last year. This is a fair size stimulas package leaving the U.S. that would have stayed here if employees hired citizens only.

Deport the "Illegal Immigrants" and close the door behind them to stop all "Illegal and Legal Immigration" from entering our country.

"I was forced to ask for money from home during the winter months," he said. "After that, I said to myself, `That's it — I'm heading back to my country.' Translated from Spanish...this loser has lived here and stolen from this country for five years, and hasn't the decency nor the wherewithal to bother to learn the language of his unwitting host country. Slime bag, give me your address, I'll gladly send you the ticket home.

just go home dirtbag
From cudzuqueen - 01 Jul 2009 @ 03:28 am
How ironic, money stolen from Americans is finally being pumped into our economy for a change! I guess mamacita will have to do without as many burritos for a while. Oh woe is she.
From Dave-co - 01 Jul 2009 @ 01:01 am
Boo fing hoo too fing bad. Go home you fricking leach. Man oh man I am tired of the feel bad stories of illegal alien mexicans. Deport these scum bags with a brand across there forhead that says "I am a scumb bag job steeler and a illegal alien rat that can NEVER enter the USA legally""
