ICE holds crash driver who killed 2 women in pickup, 3-year-old in ice cream shop

Francis Hernandez, the man being held for suspicion of vehicular homicide in the deaths, is now being detained by federal immigration officials. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials sent a faxed detainer on Hernandez, 23, at 12:04 a.m. Saturday, indicating his U.S. citizenship is under question, according to Arapahoe County jail officials and federal authorities. Hernandez has been arrested 16 times in five years in Colorado but apparently has never been deported, according to Colorado Bureau of Investigation records.

This really doesn't surprise me...typical Colorado. A report came out a couple years ago after an illegal hit and killed an American on a motorcycle - that illegal had been arrested numerous times too but wasn't deported. The city of Denver was arresting/releasing and re-arresting illegals and then billing the federal government for funds that added millions $$$ to the city's coffers.

I hope the victims family find a good lawyer and take the police/government etc to court for not doing their job and being responsible for their loved ones death. I wonder if the ACLU would be willing to help fund a lawyer for these Americans usa
